This tutorial covers a technique of inject creative colour into an image, but without the downsides of doing that.

The techniques we use here are simple yet effective and the end result speaks for itself. We work in layers, filters and blend modes to add drama and impact to an almost monochromatic image. Take a look at the start and finish images below to see the effects we get in this video. Not only does this technique have creative impact, but when applied to a lesser degree to other subjects can be used to add colour where the use of the Hue and Saturation palette alone may result in an ugly pixel effect.
