More Information

This video tutorial DVD covers those essential manipulations that we need to understand that allows us to get the very best from our digital files. The images we start with from our digital cameras are just the start of the process and with a number of simple techniques we will transform these animal pictures into competition winning shots. We call these tutorials our digital negative series because the videos are detailed and cover every step of the our manipulations in detail. The DVD contains 3 hours of detailed tutorials in full screen crystal clear video recorded at 1024 * 768 pixels.

Look at our first starting image below, which while a great image, lacks impact.

Using the techniques we show on this DVD, the image can be transformed to the one below and here are some of the tools and techniques we will cover as we work though the DVD
The Clone Tool - Spot Healing Brush - Healing Brush - Patch tool - Brushes - Levels - Layers - Layer masks - Blending layers - Crop tool
Adjustment layers - Cloning to a blank layer - Burn tool - Reverse masking - Dodge tool - Freehand lasso - Transform tools -Selectively sharpening
Variations.

When we return from a days shooting we can sometimes be a little disappointed with the results if things didn't all go according to plan. That could be said with our image below. At first glance it looks ready for the dustbin, but look again more carefully.

With the use of Photoshop's raw plugin filter, layers and layer masks, plus a few other small tweaks we can end up with this. Along the way, these are some of the tools this tutorial covers.......Using the raw palette, exposure, shadows, tints, contrast, layers, layer masks, brushes, soft, sizes and parameters. Feathering, layer copies, merging layers, burn tool, dodge tool, levels, hue and saturation, sponge tool freehand lasso tool, transform tools, variations and the eye dropper tool
