Where
are the Digital AV Seminars Held?
The seminars are held at
our home, which is in Buderim on the Sunshine Coast.
Full contact details can be found on the
contact page of our web site.
What time does the seminar
start?
Please arrange to arrive
around 9:30am for welcome coffee and a 10am start for
the day. The day will finish at 4:00pm and those hours
are usually more than enough to meet all your needs.
Where do I park?
We can accommodate 4 cars
off road, so you car will be on site and secure.
How are the seminars
conducted.
We use a desktop PC via an
Epson digital
projector to throw a large image onto a screen. This
ensures that everyone attending has a perfect view of
the techniques demonstrated. Barry can respond to individuals
needs and encourages questions as the demonstration
goes along. The detail and depth of coverage of the
subject can largely be determined by those attending.
How
many people attend the seminars?
Large seminars are fine
and we have received some fantastic feedback for those
we have done in the United Kingdom, but we also found
that many prefer to attend a smaller group seminar.
So these seminars are limited to 4 persons only
to ensure we can devote plenty of time to meeting your
personal needs and you then get the most from the day.

What do we do for refreshments
during the day?
Liquid refreshment is provided
throughout the day, but please bring a pack lunch with
you for our lunchtime break.
What are the subjects/software
covered?
Software :- Digital Audio
Visual using PicturesToExe 5 deluxe -

for our slide show.

of your own particular monitor and needs.

We also fully demonstrate the PTE5 Time Line, which
is the path to creativity in this stunning software.
We demonstrate the animation features in PTE5 deluxe
explaining how to create simple or complex animations.
We explain how animation works and how you can add multiple
key points and use multi layers too.
We also cover the process of writing of a DVD that will
play on a domestic DVD player through a TV.
Also included is sound editing via Audacity (free software)
or Adobe Audition. Learn how to add commentary, sound
effects, or simply increase music length or decrease
it. All with free, but powerful software.

What level are the seminars
pitched at?
Don't worry, Barry is expert
at making sure he identifies your needs for the day
and he will make sure you see everything you need. This
Digital AV seminar will meet the needs of the newer
user of PTE5, the intermediate and advanced user too.

Who runs the Seminars?
Barry has been involved
with photography for over 35 years and with digital
photography from the very early days. He has written
for many of the UK digital imaging magazines and is
the author of the popular book Digital Photographers
Guide to Photoshop Elements. Barry became expert at
developing and printing via a darkroom so he has seen
and experienced both sides of photography, conventional
and digital. Barry is also an accomplished photographer
and can offer tips and advice to improve the images
you shoot. We have lots of Audio Visual sequences that
you can download and play on your own PC if you are
unsure of how spectacular AV is. Check out our 3 page
list in the menus to your left.
Barry now concentrates
more on lecturing and creating movie tutorials that
you will find on sale in our shop.

What does the day cost?
The
million dollar question, but you will be glad to know
it's not a million dollars. The cost of the day is just
$79 for each of the those attending, up to a maximum
of 4. If 4 club members or friends wish to book the
day as a group, then we will reduce the price still
